What instrument was played by famous Jazz Musician Louis Armstrong?

The best of the best, I love his trumpet playing but I love his iconic voice just as much. "What a Wonderful World" is an American masterpiece!

He did a live recording of the Edith Piaf classic "Le Vie en Rose" that is superb.

Whenever I Hear His voice or Singing, I think of my Mother, who Loved playing his Records, & Listening to his Voice, I remember wat hung Film he wS in , in Middle 60's, my mother has gone many years, as to is Mr L Armstrong , Such a Talented Man, Thank you Mr Armstrong for Cheering my Mother up, as along with you Mr L Armstrong, Mr Nat King Cole, Also had a way of Making my Mother happy, Kindest Regards to your Families, Mr l Armstrong & Mr Nat King Cole, Here to Heave Enjoying your Singing, & Your Music Playing my Mr L Armstrong , RIP Always !

We went to see him at Cedar point. tickets sold out. I was walking to our hotel room and I heard "that" voice. I peeked at the opened door in front of me . There he was. "come on in baby"!!! I got to meet him and visit and even had pictures taken. One of my fondest memories,

John Coltrane of Jazz Saxophone frame was quoted in saying that Louis Armstrong was his inspiration to learn playing the Trumpet and played with well known Groups as Modern Romance, Soft Cell and The Dixon Five o Group.
