the taxes they collect pay for benefits, NHS, councils, pensions, they do a valuable job. shame some of the bigger online companies didn't pay their fair share.

NANI, I agree with you on that. Before I got my State pension I only had a work related pension, but that's taxed at source. Thankfully, it's index linked.

I have worked at IR & HMRC for over 30 years, if everyone paid what was due the UK would thrive, and pay a lot less tax, but big & small, far & wide there will always be people who cheat.
