How long does Rip Van Winkle sleep?

He sure made the setting similar to the Catskills.

They used to play Rip van Winkle and Legend of Sleepy hollow on TV every Halloween when I was a kid. Now it's all slash and spurt movies.

I have taught this nice story to my students many times. Rip returns his village and he does not recognize anybody in the village. Later he knew ,he came back after twenty years. His familiars have become old now. The writer portrayed all the characters very beautifully.
