I carried his autograph for about 20 years until I lost my wallet. He was awesome

The guy lived to be 88, surely he could have been brought back at 79, pay him to appear so he is a pro, and watch the millions tuned in to see him skate around. I'd pay.

I like how the new Detroit-Windsor bridge will be named after him. A Canadian player who is best known for his career with Detroit's team.

FJIV, I can't see the post from Panhandleguy, but based on your statement it looks like he mentioned that Howe played with his sons Mark & Marty for Hartford of the WHA.

Not being "into" hockey I didn't know this one but got it right using majority opinion so my thanks to all you hockey fans out there. I do know that hockey is a demanding sport so he sounds like an amazing guy to be able to play professionally in his 70's!

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that years ago while on duty as a security guard posted in a mall food court I played some celeb favoritism re. to the Howes. Gordie&Mrs. Howe were lunching with their son & wife. Gordie in his arms a cute little Yorkie who the info ladies wanted me to remind him of no dogs as I replied, " U tell Mr. Hockey his dog must go." Besides they were on the way out&no I didn't get in any trouble either.
