I like that some young people have given him a listen even if just to see why he is so talked about. I encourage you to try his album "Infidels", but first, just read the lyrics to the songs Then listen to the album. Don't think of him as a vocalist, but a story teller.
FaithfulReader
Love the music he writes. Still trying to appreciate his voice!

If you're not a fan of Dylan, you probably didn't get it. Love his lyrics, poetry and art just not a fan of the voice. Legendary!!!

His voice is rough, it was his lyrics that spoke of our boomer generation, like OnThe Road, by Kerouac.

WhimsicalBruiser9246, I saw him in London in 63 when he played electric guitar and the audience booed ... but most of us just wanted to listen to him. I was 13 and it was my first concert!

Love Dylan of the 60's and early 70's. Everbody who likes music should listen to his "Blood on the Tracks" album, masterpiece!
NEXUS6
so many people covered Bob's music. The biggest compliment!
WhimsicalBruiser9246
Bob keeps his royalties close. You won't find his songs on You Tube. Try Together through Life for a mellower Dylan voice. Also the video Stars of Greenwich Village has great clips of the start of his career in New York. And watch as he unlaunches phenomenal electric rock at the Newport Folk Festival (Maggie's Farm) while his own fans boo him and Arlo Guthrie runs backstage to try and unplug the amps...

If he changed his name so long prior to receiving the award he should have been referred to as his legally adopted name it is not good to refer to someone by their dead name as that is simply not who they are.

I heard about this on a TV quizz show last night. Apparently his acceptance speech (for the LITERARY award) was plagiarized from the web! Don't know if it's accurate or if they were just joking. But if it is true I find it rather funny🤣
