Lizzi, Agreed. It is one of those rare and beautiful books that children can enjoy just for the delightful story, but on a deeper level it has a social and even political commentary without losing its magic. Graham was a master storyteller.

Remember the UK tv series from the 80's,with David Jason (Del-Boy) as the voice of Toad.
