How many faces has the clock on Big Ben's tower?

i always thought that the tower was called St Stephen's tower before the name change....i might be wrong though.

sunsetdb7 & edoojit. That's not strictly correct. It seems that what is now Elizabeth Tower was sometimes, but wrongly, referred to as St. Stephen's Tower. There are three main towers: Elizabeth, Central and Victoria. There are some other features of the Palace of Westminster which are also known as towers. St Stephen's Tower is positioned in the middle of the west front of the Palace, between Westminster Hall and Old Palace Yard, and houses the public entrance to the Houses of Parliament, known as St Stephen's Entrance.
