Socialist Realism is an artistic movement developed in which country?

As someone who lives in ex-communist country, I can say that this type of art is very dark, pesimistic and depressing. But so were those times.

It’s sad the way of the world today .. so many wonder gifts we’ve been given as humans with such great thought & a beautiful earth & we still fight. Whether left or right shouldn’t matter if we were all good to each other & protect the children & the vulnerable always.
