Cassettes if stored correctly can outlast a CD and DVD. It is amazing, I still have personal recordings as early as 1971. Still play as though they were recorded yesterday.

Player Scottish Frau, Really? Just because we don’t rave does not mean we dont know what it is. To me, it’s just old technology, I have never gone nuts over music so its use for music does not interest me. I did get given a Beethoven record as a teenager by a discerning parent but could never afford many records so didn’t really miss them either.

RockNRollMama82, You had a car in highschool? So USA, older or special circumstances. Not too many rich enough to have a car either.

I'm glad for CD cassette tapes over the vinyl records . I don't the miss the scratches and dealing with the needles. Especially if you want to listen to a part of the record and not all of it.

Vinyl will ALWAYS rule! Best sound and longest format around. Since 2007, vinyl has had a steady and/or climb in sales over CD & mP3 downloads.

The Nazis perfected the Reel To Reel Tape Recorder to Record Hitler's Speeches in case anything happen to him the Public would think he was still alive. In the early they came out with the 8 Track Cassette Tape.(I had an 8 track player in my car) Then in the early 70s they brought out The Compact Cassette Tape, which had 2 sides A&B... Now CD/DVD🎶😎
