Dolly is a fantastic woman. She grew up poor in Pigeon Forge, TN, and never forgot this area. She built Dollywood here, plus many other attractions. When Gatlinburg (the neighboring community) was destroyed by fire and many families were left homeless, she gave each family $1,000 per month for almost a year to help them get by and rebuild if they wanted to. At the end, she had more money in the fund than she expected (due to others contributing), so the final payment was $5,000 per family. Amazing! We love her here!

Dolly by far is my fave female singer, I have a friend who's a DJ here n Georgia, he decided to have a local singing contest you could sing anything as long as it was in good taste. record your song n send it in., he'd let his audience decide who won. So my best friend and I rewrote Dolly's nine to five, to 5(am) to 9(pm) view point from all the stay at home Moms and called ourselfs "The Domestic Engineers" neither of us could sing, so I called up DJ Ron and we sang some over the phone, he really liked it, told us to come down to radio station he'd help coach us n record it with background music of 9 to 5, after the week for everyone to get n their songs went by, there was only one other entry, Six people from a office n town sang 50's "Charlie Brown" we won!! 4 free movie passes, 2 lg free pizzas, even had several requests to play it again. Sure would love to hear her sing it. it's really cute n a hoot to boot.!!! First line goes: "Jumped out of bed cuz I thought I heard the school bus, over slept the day will be hecktic, I comb n dress and try to get'em gone, feed my screaming kids some stale old donuts, shove em on the bus, it finally gets going, my days are like this everyone from 5 to 9./ P.S. Its' all in just joking fun, that Mom doesn't have a 9 to 5. yeah right!!!!

I didn't like Dolly Parton when I first saw her so very many years ago, I thought that a young woman that beautiful on the outside, must be just the opposite or worse on the inside. I haven't admitted this to many people because, I was shamefully wrong, I did some research on her, the more I learned the prettier she was, after some time I listened to her song " Coat of many colors " it brought real tears to my eyes, and I saw this young woman's true beauty. This is how I feel about her after about 5 years of learning about her, she had a goal in her life and she reached it when she became famous I believe, she loves her fans and to let us know she gives without question whenever she has a chance to. her beauty is in a depth that can't be measured, there is no higth for the respect I have for her, and the peddle stool I keep her on can't be touched. she has truly been blessed by Jesus and she is showing us all that she has, if we just listen.

I certainly wouldn't admit to being her godmother. she's disgusting she acts like an animal in heat. not fit for decent people to watch

I had the opportunity to meet her in 1975 when she stepped off her bus while opening for the Golddiggers in Jackson, Mississippi! She asked was I coming in to her her sing and when I said I could not afford a ticket she insisted that I get in here! Backstage passes for me and my group! Thank you again Dolly! I will always love you!! 💝😊
