Which tree in Madagascar is the only Ravenela species that accumulates water in its leaf base?

I planted a travelers palm in my backyard on Kaua’i and it grew fast. It will grow in any “direction” you plant it in. Not only is it a source for water, it can also be a habitat for centipedes, who’s sting is a major burn!

i understood that the travel tree's frond always grew in a North to South direction, thus the name.
