Now I've looked him up. His work makes me feel really agitated.... maybe that's what he was going for - good art is supposed to make you feel, but I don't like feeling that way... for surrealists, I still really prefer Dali

I was taught the basics of art and somehow we skipped him... I would have guessed Salvador Dali if he'd been an answer.

I am one who really likes Surrealism, Dada, even pop-art & abstract art sometimes. They make me think, dream, and think of other possibilities.
I find realism boring and predictable... might as well take an unaltered photo.
Though, I do Love history, so historical paintings are pretty cool. A simple "painting" of a black line against a white background is just that. Not a big fan of Jackson Pollock, either for example, it's just paint being dribbled. I have my limits on what you can call art.

Had to use majority votes here. Never heard of this guy. Only one I know in the choices was Raphael.

I'm not really into surrealism, I much prefer impressionism.

Montana Lady, I don't know about that guesses this being Salvador Dali if you knew nothing else. The new Salvador Dali which evidently you do this guy's style is absolutely nothing like Salvador's.
