they didn't win the twist competition. as other commenters have pointed out, you can hear a story in the radio later in the movie talking about the trophy having been stolen.

I think the movie would have been great but the music was too loud! Why don’t they pick up on that! You can’t hear the dialogue, it drives me crazy!! Does anyone else experience this?

John Travolta is so talented. I will never forget that scene on The Sweathogs where he did an Elvis impersonation. My husband was on afternoon shift so I was watching it alone. I realized that I was watching genius.
His Vinnie Barbarino character had the worst lines, but when he did the Elvis impersonation he nailed it! He’s never been given the credit he deserves.
