Player #1137636, give it a try in any shop having greek products. Elma is the most famous brand imported in the States. You can find also the dried drops of mastic that are used to add aroma in many greek pastries such as tsourekia.

As a kid I thought it was awful, it tastes like pitch. As adult I grew to appreciate it. Now they make wonderful things with it shampoo, face care etc... All from Chios.

I live in the Canada, where local Spruce sap was used by settlers as chewing gum. I've tried it. very nice, but extremely sticky.
