Are you serious? The blurb up above doesn't mention "The Wild Bunch"? His absolute best? Is this site hiring? I'm available.

Guillermo

Quite a difference from the 1950s TV westerns where a guy could get shot through the heart with only a spot of blood on his shirt. There's probably something to be said for realistic depiction of violence, though it's not my thing. I wonder if some of his films were banned in, e.g. Scandinavia, where they were more concerned about violence - in contrast to our American bugaboo with sex and nudity - a more rational view IMO.

In the movie Cop with James Woods a reporting party says of a crime scene, “Man! It’s like something out of a Peckinpaugh movie!”

The most famous of his films is The Wild Bunch with a stellar cast. Peckinpah set a Hollywood record at the time for the most “blood squibs” exploding in one film.
