I think the prison puppy training is a great example of rehabilitation, and for such a worthy cause. Greatness can be found everywhere.

there is no truer, no sincerer, no loyaler a creature, than a dog and his love and devotion to his human. Yes i know I misspelled many of these words, but it's the truth!!!

CrunchyDonut28347, I think it’s a terrific program as well! Thanks for mentioning it, as not everyone knows that those programs exist. I, personally feel that they should receive more funding from donors and possibly government grants, as they provide a great service for our Veterans and have proven to help to start to heal people who have been incarcerated. Training and working with animals who love without condition begin the process of helping people with physiological issues that have arisen for them to have been incarcerated. Of course, with the exception of an actual sociopath, (not the flippant way people use the word, but the actual clinical sense) that is not a condition that is able to be managed. Another reason for the program is it allows people who would otherwise develop deeper phycological scarring being incarcerated after a nonviolent crime.

This is a touching photo & hard to look at because you can see the dog, Sully, in such pain for her master. Dogs are such loyal creatures and cats too.

This photo always breaks my heart. Whether or not you liked 41, animals grieve as well, as Sully is shown grieving here. He was presented to President Bush by President Clinton. The two had become friends when Bush 43 teamed them up to help Haiti after a natural disaster.
