I was given atropine drops for a severe case of iritis. The medication is so strong that the pupil stays dilated for 2 weeks after stopping use.

MC Merci, I've had atropine drops in my eyes for examination of them. As you say, it widens the pupils. It must have been a very tiny amount in my case because although it caused me to be unable to focus, it only lasted a few hours. The effect was certainly gone by the next day.
