I have an ancestors that come from there a few generations back hope to one day get there & see it’s beauty for myself along with many other places the ancestors walked. I’d like to walk my own footsteps too & set up shop somewhere new & lovely I just can’t decide on a place as there’s so many great places to live. I think somewhere with lovely countryside, great food, good people, lovely weather & wonderful music - sounds perfect.

GRILLCHEES, my father’s family hailed from Alsace Lorraine which went back and forth between France and Germany. The name is French. My grandfather was blond from German influence. Most European countries and any with borders like those probably had border wars. Interesting as to how imbedded a culture might be.

Fun Fact : Cornwall, in the Southwestern part of the United Kingdom, there is nationalism there too. Same for Scotland, but there is not much Welsh nationalism (Welsh = people of Wales)
