mammy1027, Yes he was but ignorant of Jesus in as much as in the Last Supper he painted everyone sat at a table when in those days men reclined at a table. John13v28 "However none of those reclining at the table knew why He said this to him." (that was Jesus talking to Judas Iscariot.) The above painting is also wrong, whoever painted it, as 1Corinthians11v14 "Does not nature itself teach you that long hair is a dishonour to a man." so Jesus would not have ever had long hair.
