How many bridges are there over the Amazon River?

I travelled in a boat under a huge bridge near Manaus... pink river dolphins were there and I was told it was the Amazon river...

I hope it stays that way! Once a road is cleared in the Amazon, it immediately becomes a threat to the animals and ecosystem there. Especially so, because once a road is made, it becomes easier and more Profitable if greedy humans want to expand their enterprises. As a human, I like to breath & the Amazon is dubbed the lungs of the earth But, it is NOT just the rainforests',. the oceans also produce a lot of oxygen, too. The amount of micro/plastics and acidification in our water systems is just as alarming. We CAN change/help this if only more people believed in science more and worked together as a whole planet rather than just for the pocketbooks of the super rich and powerful.

I guessed the answer. I have never heard of river dolphins. I must google and see if they look like ocean dolphins. Interesting question and explanation.

CharlieCassie2009, Just looked this up, today is Nov. 20, 2019, and it says there are NO rivers over the entire width of the Amazon River. Super cool question!

A bit of a correction - Macapa has a few hundred kilometres of roads connecting it to other towns and villages in northern Brazil, itself also being on the northern side of the Amazon. It has no roads connecting it to anywhere in the rest of the nation south of the river.
