Bartemaeus1066 :My daughter's high school received it's Charter from King James 1st. of England /6th. of Scotland, so her uniform was a kilt. In fact she wore 3 different Stuart Tartans during her school life, Royal Stuart in lower school, Hunting Stuart in middle school and Dress Stuart in 6th. form. These were "proper" kilts, not tartan skirts, so none of the options is correct.

Kilts were a fashion item at one time I can't remember the year but us girls all had them.
