Where in the body is the Mastoid Process?

mastoid like mastication; chewing.

When my Uncle was little (1930s), he missed a lot of schooling due to what was called 'Mastoids', presumably an infection in this area. Thankfully, this situation has probably been consigned to the history books due to advent of antibiotics
