In which country did pigeon racing begin?

I've raced pigeons most of my life. they always win me ha ha. it's such a good hobby. hard work, can be expensive and very time consuming. A few races have million dollar prizes. My birds raced from 90 to over 400 miles. Y.N.W.A. JFT96
