Curmudgeon, If every American citizen were to have a DNA test we'd all be shocked by how 'impure' our lily white DNA is. Dr. Henry Lewis Gates on PBS has a program using DNA and historical documentation finding people's roots. It is fascinating. Many American Black people are about 1/3 European. Rosanna Cash and Clint Black have traces of African. My great great great grand parents came to this state as slaves but stayed with the Missus until she died, in the 1870's. We are Americans! I have one ancestor that came from Europe in the 1880s. It makes me feel great.
