Meadow-Cottage, I know that you have a lovely trip. One little piece of advice when your visit there take your time, don't rush someone famous postcard place to another. One of the wonderful things about this place is that people talk to you and are happy to talk and talk and talk about a wide range of subjects. PeÅce.

SQinfoNUTS, Before I came home to Ireland, we came back on a holiday. And SQinfoNUTS is so right! We marked a place on the map we intended to reach, with no deadline. We followed our noses and stopped in weird and wonderful places; we stopped and stayed to talk to some amazing people; and joined in the craic (fun, chat, music etc,) wherever it was found! That my friend is how you see, feel, fall in love with Ireland! A thousand welcomes to you. I hope you enjoy yourselves!

The castle area and garden is worth a long walk around too. What a pity this isn't the Blarney Castle on the photo.

We were in Ireland for 4 days. Fell in love with Galway and Belfast. Had friends I'd only met online and all were so welcoming. I want to go back! ❤

The drop is, I believe, 90 feet. It is rumored that the employees do nasty things to the stone after hours, so think twice before touching your lips to it!

Been to Ireland and kissed the Blarney Stone. I had also practiced public speaking with Toastmasters and if I do say so myself, was quite proficient at it.

Well, stone me, I kissed it! (Even with all the germs & other gross things that probably were done to it before I got there! At least I did it when I had a cast-iron immune system lol)
