Where were holograms invented?

Well I live in Rugby and have worked at this company although it's had several name changes and I never knew this.

Forgot to add that it was also the place that Frank Whittle invented the jet engine until coventry got bombed and they thought it best to move to Lutterworth because rugby was too near.

holograms were invented by Hungarian in Hungary
