They are also building a $1M museum in Kiro Egypt to house all of the artifacts that have been collected. He also had 2 children that died in childbirth buried with him. This came from a recent History Channel show I seen. Very interesting.

Player #918004, I have been to the Valley of the Kings and seen the treasures in the Cairo museum but I also queued for hours in the rain in London when the exhibition came there. I've been mad on Egypt since I was eight but I was sixty six before I finally realised my dream and got to Egypt. But it was worth the wait.

Missy K, this question was general knowledge and good on you for learning some about world history. But in the defense of non USA residents here, a lot of obscure questions here we simply can't know the answer to because we didn't grow up in the USA, didn't watch the tv shows only broadcast there 50 years ago etc. It's not the same as some big worldly event.

I have loved ancient civilizations, Aztec, Mayan, Inca, and of course Egyptian, since the 6th grade. I went to two exhibits that came to California never thinking I would ever visit Egypt in my lifetime. But four years ago my dream came true when my daughter planned the trip. It's something I will never forget. Cairo, Giza, Luxor, Valley of the Kings, Abu Simbal, cruising the beautiful Nile....unbelievable!!

Lady V, Why do so many people think this is a USA specific question? Not everyone can know everything, but the knowledge is available for all no matter where we live.

He had a stainless-steel dagger in his hands. History Channel said the mercury content wasn't from anywhere on Earth, perhaps a meteorite. This was during the copper/bronze age.

Player #918004, We also took our kids to the King Tut exhibit in Chicago in the 70's. .....a long ways from where we live, but well worth the trip.

Lady V, Much of what you say is true , until you say there are answers we can’t know because we didn’t grow up in the USA. There is no knowledge you can’t find or read or see in a film TV programme , newspaper etc . Except classified stuff( Wikileaks notwithstanding) . But people have to get involved with those sources, not just spend their time on this (very educational quiz).

Tut's tomb wasn't intact: the previous ones just never made it to the last chambers. thankfully.

19RichDick73- the dagger is made of iron. Even if stainless steel existed in Tut's lifetime, stainless is a not a durable metal for blades and probably wouldn't have been used. You are correct that the source of the iron is unknown and believed to have come from a meteor.

Missy K, The difference is that for US-specific questions, they occur a whole lot more, and their references are a whole lot more obscure and require a proper faniliarity with actual US culture.

Can I whine and cry that this is a question regarding a country other than my own like some people do about questions regarding the States, even though it is those people who CHOSE to play a game based here? And look at that, I even got it correct because I chose to learn about countries other than my own.
