I remember watching that show. It was Walter Brennan as Grandpa. Richard Crenna played his Grandson. That's when show were made for everyone.

I just watched it last night. Walter Brennan was one of my favorite actors. He played in many westerns my Dad and I watched. His songs are so wonderful. Check out his albums. A true story teller.

I didn't grow up on that one, but, I did see a few shows an I dig it an their accent to boot!

My Grandma married a true McCoy and wow they could shoot riffles,they would shoot anything that would put holes in the ground or kill the chickens .It was my grandma that was the best shot , I remember her saying come on girl we got to save the chickens ,it was a weasel she shot it at about 30 yards ,I cried and she said I had to do it ,it was killing our chicks,lol I was just a city girl.btw they were cattle ranchers.

Walter Brendan was my Mother’s second cousin. He was born in Saugus Massachusetts.

I've never ever seen it, But, through process of elimination, I deduced that it wasn't the other three. The Brady Bunch was a close second however.

Now, that was a great show back in the days. We need more shows like that, in a time like this.

Missy K, Sadly lacking empathy. Life used to be so good in my teens, 20's, 30's and 40's. Going to see bands, surfing, parties without gate crashers and violence. Rarely were there punch ups let alone knifings, mass shootings by poor little boys that were not liked at school. If you are unliked, go to your local doctor and speak up ... ask for help and if that doctor can't find counselling and help for you go to another doctor and then another until you find someone who will help. You can be helped, have the guts to speak up and find a better life for yourself and those around you. And remember this trick... Take really deep breaths, get fresh air into your brain...This is a good place to start. Karma...Look it up in the dictionary.. It's real. Take care of yourself and everyone you meet. Walk with great spirit.
