In the U.S. TV series "CHiPs" what make of motorcycles did they ride?

I met Erik Estrada once. he is a very nice man. love the way they looked on those motorcycles!

This was one of my favorite shows growing up. I learned what kind of motorcycle that they rode, because never really knew.
