I remember following the trial and I STILL think that she never should've gotten a dime. Common sense and personal responsibility has to play into this situation at some point. Yes there was some smearing of the plaintiff going on by McDonald's, but they were trying to save their business's reputation at the same time. This woman was the age of most grandmothers. She SHOULD have known better.
