What was the name of a chimpanzee/human hybrid that failed to be created in the 1920s?

Humans have 46 total chromosomes while all other primate species have 47. It is believed that at some point chromosomes 2 and 3 fused together. no other species on the planet has fused chromosomes except an extinct species of panda from China. It is believed either some form of virus caused the fusion or some form of intelligent intervention.

Would have liked the 1920 experiment to been been explained more

Ilya Ivanov was the first person to attempt to create a human–chimpanzee hybrid by artificial insemination. Ivanov outlined his idea as early as 1910 in a presentation to the World Congress of Zoologists in Graz. In the 1920s, Ivanov carried out a series of experiments, culminating in inseminating three female chimpanzees with human sperm, but he failed to achieve a pregnancy. notgerbl, Great information however, all chromosomes are paired (24 from mom 24 from dad) so primates have 48 chromosomes not 47.
