I'm pretty sure pigs have long since been replaced by dogs, for one simple reason: pigs eat truffles and dogs don't.

Player #41081547, There are people who get a nasty kick out of eating things the. majority cannot afford - even if revolting. (Caviar, birds' nest, cordyceps, ancient wines and spirits) . It's as if they are eating money, and that it bestows some benefit on them ! Like those who dice with death by eating puffer fish.

Panchotzin, And dogs have a slavish desire to please people - pigs don't. But then dogs don't yield ham and bacon. ( Though some asians do eat them).

Uninitialized, The pig has earned it,by locating the truffle, so it isn' being greedy; it's cruel to torment them like this. And you can't label animals with human failings. When the pig has eaten enough it stops - unlike humans.
