Hoplea, an antihistamine should not be used for a common cold virus. A runny nose and sneezing associated with a cold is the bodys way of trying to get rid of the invading pathogen. With allergies, certain cells perceive the allergen as a threat. My point is that yes the body is trying to clear something but these are 2 different processes
