Why don't they make a movie about his life instead of the other crap they crank out?

Wow! Flipper was born and returned post mortem to his hometown of Thomasville, about 50 miles south of my home in Albany, Georgia. I vow to learn much more about this man who is a HERO by anyone's standards. ❤

lily 21, I couldn't imagine the incredible burden he must have been under. Only a Special individual with God in his corner, could have possibly made it through that Academy at that time.

He became an officer just a decade after the end of the Civil War. Black soldiers had been recently accepted as enlisted men, but not as officers. So Flipper was fighting an uphill battle. Pretty clear he was discriminated against because of his skin color.

JimmyLovesQL, I agree with you. 💯!!! He was also an Engineer. He worked for Venezuela as an Engineer in the petroleum industry. It's so HEARTWARMING that His descendants, got his Military record changed AND obtained a pardon from President Bill Clinton. It's abhorrent that for the longest time, the impressive, history shaping achievements of my race, were deliberately, and maliciously omitted!
