Sandyberry, yes it really works. my osteopath also qualified acupuncturist .. treated me for the recurring severe pain in my elbow which made my arm nearly useless. conventional treatments didn't help. 2 acupuncture treatments later and no more pain, mobility restored and it's been 99,% OK for a year . hope you feel better soon and stay well

Does anyone know if this actually works? I am in so much pain all of the time I'm about ready to try anything.

Sandyberry, Studies regarding how acupuncture works on pain showed that it stimulated the production of endorphins in the body which are intrinsically produced pain reducers similar to morphine.

Sandyberry, I find it works really well if you have someone who knows exactly all the pressure points. I loved it!

My understanding is that it disrupts the path of signals from the nerves. Important point here is to find an acupunctureist who knows what they are doing!

acupuncture helped me overcome trigeminal neuralgia, tendonitis, sciatica, and a whole bunch of other nasty things far better than Western medicine's drugs.

I had acupuncture done yeRs ago on my back and neck. It worked until the needle hit a nerve in my neck andI nearly went to the ceiling. It hurt very much.

Acupuncture definitely works. I got kicked in the leg in just the wrong way playing soccer one night. My calf and ankle were swollen and extremely painful to the extent that I could barely walk. Ibuprofen did nothing. After 2 grueling weeks of hobbling around in pain with no improvement, I had acupuncture done and after 2 treatments I was walking normally again. I highly recommend it, especially for musculoskeletal injuries.

Sandyberry, I've had accupuncture done in the UK by the NHS, and nothing changed. A complete waste of time. Some years ago I had it done by a Chinese lady. After the sessions I felt like I could do back flips. EXCELLENT.

Sandyberry, my chiro got me over an awful back problem through the use of acupuncture and spinal manipulation. I recommend it 100%! I do joke, though, that he was the only man I ever deliberately paid to manipulate me. :)
