Leave it to us humans to screw up something beautiful. We just don't know when to say, enough is enough. Right? We need to slow down and smell the roses for a change. We are always looking for more when in reality we already have too much. We are ruining this extraordinarily beautiful world we are privileged to live in. We just need to stop, and be appreciative of what we have. Right? I'm in awe of this world. We need to change our ways now.

Habitat is being lost to our voracious need for palm oil. I went out to Borneo and was lucky enough to see these elephants.... and sadly saw the mile upon mile of cleared forest converted to plantations. Both sights bought me to tears.

Player Elf Counsel, I watched a documentary last night on PBS. It said they are dying of thirst and showed a man who was providing water. Very informative.

I love animals (domestic and wildlife), so the fact that SO many are becoming endangered and almost extinct hurts my heart. We are the guardians of this planet and EVERYTHING in and on it. We haven't been good stewards. The more insect (pollenators), flora and fauna die out, the closer we become to dying out ourselves.

Humans we don't know good from evil. we might be the most advanced of the animals but we do not act like it. We destroy and take and the wars in-between us is ridiculous. Are we that vain that we must have everything and if we can't have it we destroy it. Animals have more commpation than we do. We are our own worst enemy. The world will go under because it is to late.

I stand corrected. If most trees are cleared for farming, my recycling idea doesn't help.

My advice to humanity is RECYCLE!!! There's nothing we do with over-harvested wood, that can't be done with plastic. We don't even have to produce more - just recycle what we've already made. The same idea applies to various metals. In a large way, we could reduce a great deal of pollution by the recycling of metals.

The earth and all its animals, oceans and lands would be better off without humans. We destroy everything we touch.
