IrreverentRascal4106, not so funny at all. I suffer from this exact same type of seizure, except mine thanks to modern medicine no longer progress to gran mal status. Please think of who you're laughing at next time.

In my professional life I have known individuals for whom epileptic seizures triggered violent behavior such as punching people or walls. Afterwards they were remorseful. However this is a quite rare part of epilepsy and those with the condition should not be feared.

Donna, My husband has had that. Very hard for doctors to deal with. The only thing he notices is just realizing that time has passed without any memory of that time. He can have his eyes open, but not respond at all.

For more than 35years, i’ve been dealing with Grand Mal epileptic seizures. There were times of embarrassment when having a seizure in public. Luckily, thru maintenance medicines and a loving partner, makes it easier to deal with “normal” daily living.
