It committing suicide means "was executed", then yes, but it really is not the same... Fix that and add the correct answer to options 😉

Blooply, they saw things very differently in those days, they viewed the actions of suicide very differently to how we do today. Socrates was under duress, which meant if he didn't take it, he would have had a far more long drawn out painful death, which he obviously viewed as being the lesser of two evils..

We may never know what exactly happened but from I have read Dorania is correct. The jurors decided he should get death and ordered him to drink the poison . Probably that or be be headed .. no one knows for sure

Dorania, He was old enough, to know that he would never have survived out on his own, he knew that he needed to end the situation as contextually there would have been a lot of other things going on, he would have given it a lot of thought. You've got to keep in mind at that time it didn't take much or cost much for some one to be poisoned, at least he knew where it was coming from..
