yes, it does . Encyclopedias focus on all disciplines which is why they are carefully alphabetically arranged so people can find the most crucial information at their fingertips without a hassle.

When we were growing up (in the 1940s & 50s) we had a set of encyclopedias called The Book of Knowledge. Each book contained several French lessons. I learned a lot- so much that when I took French I high school I got good grades!

Google is quick to use, but browsing through Encyclopedias gave one a broader general knowledge.
