He lived 4 blocks from where I grew up. He lived on Mulberry St & I lived on the corner of Union & Stebbins St in Springfield MA & my mom spoke to him every Saturday bec she did ironing for a widower who lived right across the street. He lived in, I thought, one of the historical houses that were on that block but somewhere I heard that it got bulldozed. So idk... can’t do that. When he gave me The Cat In The Hat, The Cat in The Hat Comes Back and Green Eggs & Ham... They became my favorite. Until Charlottes Web, Little House on the Prarie series & Flowers for Algernon (sp).... I love reading books til this day. Oh and Nat King Cole & Natalie Wood lived even closer on Quincy St I think but I cud of cared less at that age. Old folk music lol.

I have to admit I was tempted to go with Dr Evil 😂 just because of all those times I would get to the end of a book with a toddler only to hear "AGAIN"! But seriously I love reading to the kids.

He enjoyed an illustrious career.

Read Dr. Seuss to my kids and later used them as a tutoring aid for children I helped with reading when they were behind in their schoolwork.

I will never forget that book because I discovered scissors at the age of four... my mother made me tape it back together and I would always have a ruined book to remind me to treasure them!

I will never forget my baby sister at the age of 3 years old had six of these books totally memorized. she would sit with her dolls and play school "reading" Dr Seuss to them.
