Which American town was well known for its witch trials?

I graduated from Salem State U. It's a beautiful city right on the Atlantic, but a magnet for covens and occult.

In the grand scheme of things, the Salem witch trials were not that long ago. We look back in wonder at how such a travesty of justice could occur, but the events happening in the world today are equally horrible. Makes we think folks a few hundred years from now will look back on history with the same disbelief.
