I absolutely love this song! I wrote an additional, final verse. Can't remember off the top of my head but it starts... Little Jaccki Paper grew up to be a Dad He tells his son about Puff and they become friends. It felt like a lovely way to extend the song.

Peter, Paul and Mary were one of a few groups that appealed to children and adults. The kids didn't know they weren't perfect, and adults didn't care.

62 years old and still love that song. I still song it to my grandkids when I'm rocking them tho sleep. This surprised me when it said people thought it was about drugs. This is the very first time I've heard this. People need to let children be children and quit ready so deep into songs.

Anyone who followed and knew the work and ethics of Peter, Paul, and Mary would know that the song was about innocence and absolutely not drugs.

When my daughter was around 10 years old she and I watched it together on YouTube. After it ended I asked her, (she knew nothing about this film before we watched it) what do you think this movie was about? She looked me in the eye and replied, a boy with autism. I say unban this story should be told.

I agree it wasn't about drugs but when you hear or see...Paper and Puff...I can understand why some would think that...why did the kid's last name have to be Paper?
