Someone told me this recently as a way of remembering the difference between Bactrian and Dromedary camels: Capital B has two humps, capital D only has one.

PgB, Feral means descended from a domesticated animal but living in the wild. For example, a farm turkey that goes to live in the woods would be a feral turkey, not a wild turkey. Similarly, a Bactrian camel (feral or not) is a different species from a wild Bactrian camel.

Good question but I'm slightly confused by the following:
"Bactrian camels, whether domesticated or feral, are a separate species from the wild Bactrian camel which is the only truly wild (as opposed to feral) species of camel in the world."
Feral means wild and they both these Bactrian camels have the same name, so how are they 2 species?
