What is a dish consisting of raw, thin, long-sliced frozen fish called?

I've been to Lake Baikal and eaten omul. It's a stunning place. Amazing people. Lots of vodka. Never ate frozen fish there though.

Ignis Consurgens, I worked in Russia for 30 years and I think your opinion about the vodka is inappropriate. there are a lot of alcoholics anonymous in America we have our share of drinkers too but to label a whole nationality is not acceptable

Could be sashimi when you eat them in the tropics.
