In which part of the body will you find the macula?

Macular degeneration - an awful condition but can be halted with regular eye injections. Can’t be cured but at least the drug that’s injected slows any further bleeds - marvellous because not so many years ago you would just go completely blind.

I'm not sure why, maybe decent nutrition, but my Macular Degeneration seems to have gone in remission.

I have a wrinkle in my macula. An age related condition caused by the vitreous pulling part of the macula with it as it shrinks. I can live with the decreased vision. Not worth surgical repair. If the macular tears completely, a macular hole, surgery is required to protect the retina.
