Such a good show. Love it and the books. I'm so glad that Laura Ingalls felt the urge to write about their lives.

Interesting So in real life she never married, but on the TV series she did.

I live in South Dakota. The Ingalls family also lived here. Their home is a State Historical Site.

I have never read the books but know they are extremely popular.

Her books were so good!

Player #7263448, I think the Mary in the TV Series had more setbacks than the one in real life. In the TV series, her baby dies in a fire.

I never read the books. I love the show and could binge watch it if it were on Netflix or Hulu. that is interesting that she lived with her parent the whole time.

We live 12 miles from where Mary went to the Braille school. Unfortunately, it has closed, but it’s still a very imposing building.

loved the show & books too. watched every episode till the end of the series. Every episode always had a great lesson to teach or learn from & always something you could relate to. Very good wholesome family show which seems to be missing now a days.

Julie
Love her books. She gave insight to a part of American history that no one else wrote about.

Actually, Nellie was a made up character comprised of the worst characteristics of several of Lauras schoolmates. LHOP trivia is my niche'. ❤

I love little house on the prairie i watch it still to this day I have read all the little house on the prairie books they are great Michael landon was the best actor ever he will always be remembered gone but not forgotten

when I was..kid.. there was only (perhaps) one and only one TV set per household..
my mother insisted on the whole family watching that show and I hated it..
now I am old and I love it with all my heart..

Flower Lady
actually I believe the one true to life character ( in appearance ) was Nellie Oleson. She had those 'iron curls' and was just as horrible in real life as Laura portrayed her to be.

very interested I love the book and t.v show

KookyOrangutan5005, its on Amazon Prime

Player #4250921, The baby Rose was actually Laura's in real life.

Dianne
sad that the Ingall's name died off. Laura's daughter Rose never had children. Mary did not, Carrie had a couple step children, I believe. None of the Ingall's boys nor Laura's son lived to adulthood...sad
