#3242847 Venice Queen, I don't really agree with you except for one thing : It's common belief amidst many Historians and Phyllologists that the Japanese word for "thank you" - "arigato" derives from the Portuguese word "obrigado" which has the exact same meaning.

Actually, it's a Colloquial version of the Portuguese Language. Its like a Londoner speaking the Cockney type of English or a Yorkshireman saying A-up. Sometimes a little difficult to understand.
