In which city is the Expiatory Church of the Holy Family located?

I visited it in 1997. Beautiful. I'd love to see it when it's finished.

BigTony, temple is a generic name for a place of worship but not usually applied to Christian churches !!

Barcelona was a 9 hours stop in a cruise I took in 2005, I rushed from one Gaudi bldg to another but didn’t have time to see the inside of Sagrada Familia, had to wait 17 years to do so, I did last year, & again 2 months ago… would visit again if I could… If you do, don’t waist time or money going up any of the towers, it’s a long wait, not a good view from up there + very narrow stairway down !!

I absolutely adore Gaudí’s work. I’ve not yet in this life been able to make it to Spain, but am still hopeful that might happen someday. He had an amazing vision. All of the buildings I’ve seen of his are so compelling.

I have seen it a number of times over the last 50 years and it always fascinates me. Progress has seemed very slow but well worth going to see.
