ZyggyStardust, If you mean our life should be a "spiritual journey", then I wholeheartedly agree. However, too many folks 'say' their life is a spiritual journey, but they 'limp through' as if life is a spiritual inconvenience. That is, they pass the time away without concern for what may be learned in terms of spiritual enlightenment - caring only for the party aspect of life. I don't mean to suggest that we should not enjoy all the good things in life. I only mean that life is a waste if not a learning experience.

Australian whites made it a derogatory term. The only thing that is derogatory about Australia is the racism towards the first peoples of Australia

you can watch all the movies and videos you like but you will never know everything. Each tribe is different and you have over 200 different aboriginal languages spoken in Australia. To start learning their true customs, beliefs and rituals you have to be an initiated member of that tribe. men have one lot of customs, beliefs and rituals and women have their own.

I think a lot of indigenous people including native Americans have this sort of coming of age rituals. we need to respect their customs. in this country native Americans came back to their spiritual roots. I find this inspirational.
