millwallmarty, I lived there as a expat for 18 years in all. They do not sponsor terrorism. I found it to be one of the safest cities of the world. they promote sports and aim to be the sports capital of the Middle east. In 2022, they will be hosting the football world cup. I love the place and may visit it again for the World cup

Certainly not satisfied with the above said comments i lived there as a Expats for 1 year I noticed that very dirty accommodations, living 8 to 10 people sharing a room and 1 wash room and kitchen for 100 people no insurance and medical facility worst roads no proper street lights very un satisfied if compared to Bahrain well civilised and gentle people

I'm not sure if Doha is so safe for women. In 2020, over a dozen international women were ordered to leave their plane which was about to depart for Australia, and be strip-searched in order to find the mother of a newborn baby abandoned in the airport toilets. Extremely distressing for the women. The baby's mother was never found.

If I wasn't a fan of motorcycle racing I wouldn't know this.
